"May you endure. What does it mean to endure? I love this definition" to with stand with courage. Courage may be necessary for you to believe; it will at times be necessary as you obey. It will most certainly be required as you endure until that day when you will leave this mortal existence.
I have spoken over the years with many individuals who have told me " I have so many problems, such real challenges of life. What can I do? I have offered to them, and I now offer to you, this specific suggestion"see heavenly guidance one day at a time. Life by the yard is hard; by the inch it's a cinch. Each of us can be true for just one day' and then one more and then one more after that[ until we've lived a lifetime guided by the Spirit, a lifetime close to the Lord, a lifetime of good deeds and righteousness. The Savior promised, "Look unto me, and endure to the end, and ye shall live for unto him that endureth to the end will I give eternal life."
**To with stand with courage is enduring. Seek guidence one day at a time, and continue the next day...
M. Russell Ballard -October 1992, The Joy of Hope Fulfilled
http://www.lds.org/general-conference/1992/10/the-joy-of-hope-fulfilled?lang=eng
"My message to you today, my brothers and sisters, is simply this: the Lord is in control. He knows the end from the beginning. He has given us adequate instruction that, if followed, will see us safely through any crisis. His purposes will be fulfilled, and someday we will understand the eternal reasons for all of these events. Therefore, today we must be careful to not overreact, nor should we be caught up in extreme preparations; but what we must do is keep the commandments of God and never lose hope!"
** The Lord is in control, we have His instructions on what we need to do. We must never lose hope, but endure to the end.
President Thomas S Monson - April 1st, 2012, The Race of Life
http://www.lds.org/general-conference/2012/04/the-race-of-life?lang=eng
President Monson quotes Ecclesiastes 9:11. "The race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong. actually, the prize belongs to him or her who endures to the end."
** I can live my life working quickly doing those things that are important to return to Heaven, I can work strong being a powerful witness of God, but none of it will matter in the end if I do not keep on doing it. I have to remain faithful and endure to the end.
President Boyd K. Packer – October 2008, The Test

“Lucifer will try us…but we will stay on course. We will anchor ourselves as families and as a church to these principles and ordinances. Whatever tests lie ahead, and they will be many, we must remain faithful and true."
** Remaining faithful and true to the faith, in spite of the tests that we will be put through, is important.
L. Tom Perry - April 2008, The Gospel of Jesus Christ
http://www.lds.org/general-conference/2008/04/the-gospel-of-jesus-christ?lang=eng&query=tom+(name%3a"L.+Tom+Perry")
“Enduring to the end requires faithfulness to the end, as in the case of Paul, who told Timothy, “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith” (2 Timothy 4:7). Obviously, this is not an easy task. It is intended to be difficult, challenging, and, ultimately, refining as we prepare to return to live with our Father in Heaven and receive eternal blessings.”
1-Requires the Savior’s redemptive power. Repent, attend Sacrament meeting. 2- Enduring to the End requires the Holy Ghost in our lives 3- We must be an integral part of a community of Saints. 4- We must share the gospel with others 5- We must always maintain faith and hope in Christ."

**I love a checklist of things I must do to meet the goal. Elder Perry gives us good list of things to do.
Elder Robert D. Hales - April 2012, Coming to Ourselves: The Sacrament, The Temple, and Sacrifice in Service
** As we continually strive to be worthy of holding a temple recommend we simply have to live faithful and follow the prophets. It isn’t an earth moving challenge, it’s a simple daily commitment to enduring to the end.
** Enduring to the end means making an effort every day, followed by another tomorrow, doing what we can each day to grow closer to the Lord
Neil L. Andersen – October 2008, You Know Enough
** As we strive to endure to the end we must prepare ourselves by remembering the revelations and inspirations given to us.
We become converted and spiritually self-reliant as we prayerfully live our covenants.
“Worthiness to hold a temple recommend gives us the strength to keep our temple covenants. How do we personally gain that strength? We strive to obtain a testimony of Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, the Holy Ghost, the reality of the Atonement, and the truthfulness of the Prophet Joseph Smith and the Restoration. We sustain our leaders, treat our families with kindness, stand as a witness of the Lord’s true Church, attend our Church meetings, honor our covenants, fulfill parental obligations, and live a virtuous life. You may say that sounds like just being a faithful Latter-day Saint! You are right. The standard for temple recommend holders is not too high for us to achieve. It is simply to faithfully live the gospel and follow the prophets.”

D. Todd Christofferson – January 2012, Recognizing God’s hand in our daily Blessings
“ Incorporating new and wholesome habits into our character or overcoming bad habits or addictions often means an effort today followed by another tomorrow and then another, perhaps for many days, even months and years, until we achieve victory. But we can do it because we can appeal to God for our daily bread, for the help we need each day.”

Neil L. Andersen – October 2008, You Know Enough
As disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ, we have enormous spiritual reservoirs of light and truth available to us. … In our days of difficulty, we choose the road of faith.
“Brothers and sisters, we each have moments of spiritual power, moments of inspiration and revelation. We must sink them deep into the chambers of our souls. As we do, we prepare our spiritual home storage for moments of personal difficulty. Jesus said, “Settle this in your hearts, that ye will do the things which I shall teach, and command you.”
** As we strive to endure to the end we must prepare ourselves by remembering the revelations and inspirations given to us.
Henry B. Eyring - April 2012, Mountains to Climb
"When hard trials come, the faith to endure them well will be there, built as you may now notice but may have not at the time that you acted on the pure love of Christ, serving and forgiving others as the Savior would have done. You built a foundation of faith from loving as the Savior loved and serving for Him. Your faith in Him led to acts of charity that will bring you hope."
**I am building my strength to endure to the end during my trials in my daily love of Christ, serving others and forgiving. This is my foundation of faith that I will need to endure to the end.
Russell M. Nelson - April 2012, Thanks Be to God
"The attributes by which we shall be judged one day are all spiritual.27 These include love, virtue, integrity, compassion, and service to others.28 Your spirit, coupled with and housed in your body, is able to develop and manifest these attributes in ways that are vital to your eternal progression.29 Spiritual progress is attained through the steps of faith, repentance, baptism, the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end, including the endowment and sealing ordinances of the holy temple."
**My spiritual progress will be judged, part of that is how well I endured to the end.
